In 2022, Kari conceived Tailjay—developing its name, logo, and securing Tailjay.com. With the pandemic winding down, it felt like the right time for something new.
Our name reflects a journey of transformation and growth. Inspired by the Tailed Jay butterfly (Graphium agamemnon), found in Asia, it symbolizes change, progress, and impact—just as butterflies play a vital role in their ecosystems.
Kari’s diverse experiences—from elite sports to startups and corporations—shaped his thinking and sparked a bigger vision. In early 2023, he pitched the idea to his future business partner, and Tailjay took flight.
